FaithxCore with Jared Curtis & Jim Barnwell

Jared and Jim

FaithxCore was conceived through the musical taste of a small Georgia youth group. They liked fast, edgy rock. They called it hardcore and stylized it HxC. But true HxC had its roots in the Hardcore Punk of the 70’s & 80’s. It was a raw sound, with an uncensored message and an energetic – but basic – groove, driven by 2-string power chords. It was extreme. Oddly, we discovered hardcore also indicated fundamental building materials. Think roadways, slabs, or driveways. These materials were foundational, load bearing, and resisted deterioration. The invaluable qualities of both sound & material led us to laying a framework for genuine conversation. Now the HxC becomes the FxC. An extreme Faith that is raw, straightforward, load bearing, and resisted deterioration.
